Angelo currently works as a senior product designer at Paytm Labs and resides in Vancouver, Canada.

Hello, my name is Angelo and I’m a product designer with a passion and interest in a variety of design disciplines including UX, industrial design, architecture, and even sound.

In 2012, I graduated with a BA in Interaction Design from the School of Interactive Arts & Technology at SFU. I have since built up over 9 years of experience designing products from concept to launch.

I started off my career as an Interactive Media Developer at IBM creating webcasts and doing presentation design. I then tried my hand at entrepreneurship by co-founding a streetwear apparel company called Ghosts n’ Robots. After that I did packaging design for Soo Jerky, a company spreading the joys of Singaporean style beef jerky.

In 2013, I landed my first UX job at Storefront.com where I designed user interfaces for photo kiosks and photobook editors. In 2014, I joined a peer to peer betting startup called Tedbets as their first UX hire. Tedbets eventually became Askott Entertainment where I’ve since helped build their suite of esports and fantasy products and grow the company from 5 to 30+ employees. Askott Entertainment merged with FansUnite in 2020 to create a new suite of whitelabel sportsbook and casino products. In 2022, I joined Paytm Labs to help build out their Pi Risk product. I reworked their entire design system with new branding guidelines, directly improved the usability of existing features, as well as designed new feature sets to increase fraud detection and improve case management.

A little about myself — I am the type of person to have way too many hobbies and not enough time to pursue them all. I fell into the rabbit hole of custom mechanical keyboards and trying to pursue that perfectly balanced sound profile in my headphones as an audiophile. In the autumn, you can find me at Mission Raceway tracking my car or at Pitt Meadows doing autocross. You can also find me at KnifeWear browsing Japanese kitchen knives and sharpening stones. I am also an avid gamer and am fascinated in next-gen technology such as augmented and virtual reality. Like I said, too many hobbies.

Before the pandemic, I enjoyed traveling around the world and exploring architectural spaces and structures designed by famous architects whom I’ve looked up to while at school. Since I’m in Vancouver, I also play a lot of hockey and hit the slopes every winter.
